Dear Arindam,
Brilliant ! You have a wonderful single tone without the lousy vamping or hand vibrato. "Bolero" is one my most favourites and you played it very well - my only comment is that right near the end you seem to be slightly unsure about the melody. I am sure with alittle more practice that will also be perfect. Keep it up.
By the way, what was that horrible background noise ? Was it the ceiling fan running ?

how to learn harmonica?
mickellemastra 7 months ago
@mickellemastra Difficult question, may be you can search for a faculty in your area!? People across the world play many types of harmonicas, such as the chromatic (as in here), the diatonic, the tremolo, etc. See which one attracts you the most... :)

Well, I play a little bit as well. By the way, that last bit in "Bolero" jumps to the key of E and yes, it does need a bit of practice. Did you learn it from Sheet music (notation) or by ear ?
I sent you a wonderful harmonica interpretation of Boler to you yahoo email address.

I learned it from sheet music, but as i told you, i had some problem during this performance with salivation.. :)
also, the jumps are no real issues and i have played this far better than i did here, but i need more practice to be more consistent..
thanks a lot for sending me another interpretation, it shows you care for perfection. i can point you to an even better one in harmonica by the gr8 larry adler. have sent you the file at your yahoo id. do let me know how you like it!

thanks a lot for your comments. Bolero is one of my favourites too..
you are right partially. in the last part, i knew the notes but somehow i got a little uncomfortable with my breath and excess saliva (due to prolonged octave playing). i will certainly try to improve with practice and overcome these hitches..
btw, it seems from your lingo that you are a harmonicist. please let me know more about you..
p.s. yess.. that was a ceiling fan! couldn't do without it in this heat.. :)
