Yeah, leathers are the way to go. I work for a full-time FD just north of Detroit. We wear Paul Conways, and a few of us have bought our own Paul Conway leathers. I bought mine before Paul Conway was bought out by Lion Apparel and it's a good helmet, but the quality after that went downhill. My next when I make sergeant will be a Cairns.

Question for you: I notice the mix of modern and traditional helmets (even a couple of leathers, I think), are you guys in the process of switching over? Or does it signify something else?

Tell Tommy Sittinger out of station 5 the guys at San Diego Fire Department Said "HEY PROBIE" he likes to do dishes, mop, and clean the bathrooms after a big old dump! If anyone can take a big old crap and make him clean it? He will be stoked! Tommy is a great guy! I personally would not want to piss a man of that size off lol! We will take him any day over here! Put that guy on a truck company and hand him an axe! He will take the whole roof off by himself! lo

they are 2 different degree's in Oregon where I live. Paramedic and nursing are both 2 year degrees. General same education minus a few classes but they both have different schools you go to.
