  • So did they change the show so that Sweeney slits Mrs. Lovett's throat at the end instead of pushing her in the oven? I'm just asking because of the whole red moment.

  • Yeah, the revival didn't have an oven. Or a barber chair for that matter. Very minimalistic. So Sweeney just stabs her multiple times with the razor.

  • @xTotallyxBossx He is, but that's the point.

  • No, he said "No one's in the chair! Come on! Come on!". He still said it.

  • the revival sounds like actors at a demo session

  • Thank you for putting this together!!!! It's awesome.

  • this is so emotional i think i like both

  • I must say this was very well done. Amazing blending skills!

  • Agreed,Depp played the part well but unfortunatly was not an excellent singer. He deserved the oscar nomination and the golden globe tho!!!

  • i loved Patti LuPone :O

the toby in the theatre version is creepy >.>

  • I saw it about a month ago, he doesn't say that. Lovett just says "He was clutching onto my dress but now he's finished" then Sweeney discovers the beggar woman. They just cut that "Open the doors!" line completely

  • And what did she open when Sweeney said "OPEN THE DOORS I SAID!!!"?

I'd like to see it. I adore this. First was the movie, but it was very quickly overshadowed by the 1982 version.
