  • maybe he needs a Ray Day

  • @pugloverjsaf Do you hear what I'm saying. The NDP asks the liberals to join with them all the time. You see it in the media very frequently.

"NDP invites Liberals to join with open arms, Rae says no"

"NDP offers liberal-NDP merge, Trudeau doesn't like the idea"

    etc

Isn't this evidence that Rae is no longer one of them?

  • @pugloverjsaf I don't understand what the issue is. If he was an NDP supporter or sympathizer he would either still be with them. Or he would have merge the liberals with the NDP after the May 2nd election. The NDP only badgers the liberals to join their party every friggin week!

  • @pugloverjsaf You're correct I'm sorry. I got the years wrong. I am a physics student though, so I don't think the math was the issue.

You'd be surprised how many leftist thinkers became more centrist after 911 took place. I think that's when Bob shifted. If you read his books you'll see what I mean. I have much more confidence in Bob's abilities to handle the economy than when he was with the NDP.

NDP, Liberal, these are not small distinctions.

  • oh one more thing bo rae was in office 1990-1995 thats only 16 years ago not 20-25 years you better re learn your math or get your facts straight.

  • i go by the party and the leader and time and time again they failed so how can i have faith in eaither party???

  • sorry not much of a libreal ndp fan they have proven their woarth or lack their of im disspoited in both parties for all their failures maybe your right maybe he's changed but he's gonna have to prove he has talk is cheap you gotta admit im right with that.

  • @pugloverjsaf personally i like to think that elections are more than just personality contests. I think we have a personal responsibility as citizens to vote based on educated decisions. not on, "which leader rubs me the right way'. Ignatieff I couldn't stand, but I voted for the liberal party. I wish Jack Layton was a liberal sometimes, he was such a nice guy, but terrible policies. That's why I dont really care how Bob Rae did as an NDP premier 20-25 years ago. He's a liberal now. big diff

  • @pugloverjsaf that was 20 years ago, he was with the NDP at the time. he has different views on things now. i know this for a fact. i dont like the job he did as premier either. but if you read his books carefully, you'll notice a gradual change in him in his views over the years. besides i dont think it was completely Rae's fault. Part of it had to do with Mulroney's incompetence to deal with the economic recession at the time (early 90s).

  • @Freethinker12341 sorry but how can we trust someone who screwed up with ontario to run our contry besides fedral libreals are a joke they pick losers for leader's bob rae michael ignatieff Stéphane Dion and list goes on im sure you know him but we can't take the risk trust him sorry but he screwed up bad once is enough.
