Panda Plays Triad Stone

Here's my less-than-perfect playthrough of one of the LaserActive's greatest games, Triad Stone. Back in the '80s, video games were limited to Atari type stuff, so when you'd go to the arcades and see full motion video it would be mind-blowing. Eventually, the gimmick of the FMV game wore off, until Shenmue and God of War repopularized using those sequences within games.

Anyway, the art in this game is spectacular, and the death scenes (none particularly featured) are totally rad, including getting completely squished in a golem's hand, flattened by pillars, eaten alive by little things, swallowed by a snake, turned into a bloody mess by piranhas... you get the point. Music and sound also get a big thumbs up from me.

If you want to have a lot of fun playing this game, just take a shot every time the narrator says the word, "power." You'll be finished with whatever your bottle is by the time you reach the checkpoint of the first stage.
