  • There is an unofficial Mad Pride in Brazil.

  • Concerning the movement(s) in Japan, if you or any of other readers should have any info, please leave a comment with contact info. (はい確かに私はいくつかの日本語を知っている).

I also know that the Burakumin (部落民) are also suffering something horrible in regard to societal rejection and discrimination.

    Again thanks!

  • The name sounds familiar, David Oaks. I might have met him along with some other activists to whose names have long escaped me.in Cambridge with the MPLF group back in 1976 proper. (I lived at that time for a short time on Medford St. in Somerville, if that should jog ones memory).

Now, I practically shouted "So desu ka!" when I heard there is also a movement in JAPAN! Being part Japanese myself, and also knowing of our society which is so conformist (though polite, and civil) .

  • All the illnesses are psychosomatic

  • I've underestimated David Oaks; my life circumstances

do confirm the unexpected risks of oppression anyone with even

a slight diagnosis has in his medical record.

  • Outstanding -- We are proud of you, David

  • Nice one, David. Just because someone puts a label of "crazy" on us does not make us less human, and therefore does not remove our rights as humans. Preaching to the choir, I know, but we need a louder choir!

    Hugs,

    Moss

  • I don't see anything to be proud of in having had panic attacks. The mental health system is startlingly abusive and exploitative, that much is obvious. M/h organisations are mostly shity but suffering is shity too.
