Gather Up Abilities Tester

Footage of the Ability test code in Gather Up. Sorry about the crummy sound quality, captured it via my microphone.

This is basically me fooling around with all the abilities and guns in the Gather Up prototype. Right now they're all kinda lacking in visual feedback, but you get the idea. Nuke will get some fancy screen flash effect, Flight will probably be tethered to a certain area, right now it's too epic sequence break-y. Boost needs to be nerfed a little and I want to add a full screen effect when it's active.

Well there is going to be a non-gun weapon, probably. I'm not saying what it -is- yet.

I had a pretty specific idea about how I wanted combat to work, melee weapons don't really fit the hit percentages and stuff, which is why I've been shying away from them.

Unfortunately for us all, it seems as if the idea of a completed game is going to never happen. I enjoyed "Level Up!" an enormous amount, and I enjoyed even the demo of this game the same. It was all miraculously put together and I'm sorry that I may never see the final product. Wherever you are, Titch. Be you testing hats or composing masterpieces of gaming, know that we miss you and want you back!
