  • @klingsor93 I think the one thing she has over many people who play this piece is rhythmic integrity. Maybe it's not as contemplative as most, but you certainly feel the roll of the ocean. If there is an underlying theme of danger or menace... it's seems to me more of a far off echo that is barely there. I find when people are too elastic with the rhythm and interpretation of this piece, it loses something special. Something natural which is evident here!

  • Nastia plays very well this piece of Ravel. Une barque sur l'ocean. You feel that the weather is sunny and the ocean is calm. It is just the good period for a travel in a boat. Exellent work Nastia.

    This is your friend Paul

  • I love your interpretation. I think your recording equipment does not help to show the actual sound effect. Congratulations!

  • Very nicely played

  • Thank you for playing such a beautiful piece!

  • Nastia, you are a wonderful pianist, but I'm not certain you got it right this time. Your performance is too bright and sunnyand there is not enough sense of danger, of menace comming from a sea which is getting more and more agitated with the storm comming. Your sea is far too calm and sunny. Your playing is full of light. I could talk for hours about les "Miroirs" which I have studied and analyzed for many years. I like this work even more than Gaspard de la Nuit!
