  • The struggle for betterment is the whole point, and the awareness that the struggle goes on after our passing is a type of immortality for a person of with a love of knowledge

  • Brilliant observation by Hitch that the pursuit of utopia is seductive, but ultimately part of the problem. Imperfection is needed for freedom and happiness.

  • Barry does a great job of validating that Hitchens is clearly correct and is standing on a solid argument.

  • This guy needs to get some instruction in clear and LOGICAL thinking first before he accepts an invitation to debate.

  • The argument "it depends" should not be disregarded. Hitchens promotes the idea of something Absolute, and thus forget that the concept of Absolute is a religious concept. Hitchens even admits his attraction to Absolute thinking when he mentions being drawn to Marxism. In defense of science it is important to mention that the Absolute have nothing do with atheism, nor science itself. The hypothesis being foundation of the scientific method, have no place in the mind of those who know all.

  • oh dear, this guy shows up with an "it depends" position. Of course it depends. Disapointing

  • worst debate
