RealVNC and QNX collaborate to support Terminal Mode

Terminal Mode is the recently released specification for the integration of mobile devices and applications with vehicle infotainment systems.

Based on RealVNC's technology, Terminal Mode uses the VNC protocol to show the screen of the mobile device on the car's head unit to enable access to mobile applications and content while on the road via the touchscreen or vehicle controls.

QNX Software Systems, the leading provider of operating systems and middleware for the automotive infotainment market, has developed a demonstration of this latest mobile connectivity technology.
