The House of The Dead 1 Arcade - Single Credit Special Agent Rank Part 2

In this playthrough I accomplish the following:


- Playing the actual arcade machine (1996)

- Using a single credit (no continues)

- Saving every hostage in the game (thus unlocking the secret bonus room on the final stage)

- Obtaining the "Special Agent" rank (highest)

- Get best ending (Scoring over 60,000)

The 1 player gun needed to be re-calibrated but the player 2 gun was even worse because it
wouldn't shoot on the lower part of the screen. I had to constantly shoot the screen for no
reason just to see where I was aiming all the time.

I also use the "Hanged Man" boss score exploit, the game gives 120 points per head shot on this boss
so I wait till he is about to attack me to rack more points. The bats give 80 points each.

I also use the "Hermit" boss score exploit. If you shoot him in the head after he dies you also gain
120 points per shot.

The maching runs at 60fps, I set my camcorder shutter speed to 1/60. If I set it any lower then it would
capture too much light and the footage would be too slow. So I apologize for the scan lines.

There are several different disguises that the players can wear. Only One

code will work at a time. They must be entered after the coins are inserted

and the "The House Of The Dead" logo is on screen. Take both guns, and

pressing the triggers, do the following:

Player 1 is disguised, player 2 is normal L,L,R,L,L+start button

Player 2 is disguised, player 1 is normal R,R,L,R,R+start button

Both players are disguised L,R,L,R,L,R+start button

I find it's a lot more productive to get potshots in on the boss while he's busy flinging bats at you. He's not moving and you have a pretty clear shot at his brainpan. I think his second phase triggers around 50% (killing any remaining bats), so you have plenty of time to max score by downing incoming bats while making his second phase that much shorter. It'll save on life, at least. :p
