We are a state of idealists and entrepreneurs innovating our way into the future.

California Forward is a non-partisan organization, collaborating with local leaders, legislators, and everyday people from around the state to put California back on the path forward.  

From the birth of the silver screen, to trail blazing pioneers in Silicon Valley, California is home to industries that have transformed the American and global economies. 

For some the promise of the future is slipping away, and we don't have to look far to see it. 

At California Forward, we're working to recapture that promise.  

The path forward:

1) Fiscal reform. Not just balancing the budget, but putting in performance measures that will make sure public dollars are well spent and state leaders don't spend money we don't have.

2) Changing the structure of government by empowering local communities to find local solutions to local problems.  

3) We need to create a responsive democracy that encourages participation and increases the accountability of our legislators so they work to represent all of us.

Together these three steps will transform our government so it will meet the challenges of the 21st century.
