@willwjl - Well, if the show was originally recorded on 2" videotape like this was, the audio is 15ips studio mastering quality. It got "dumbed down" substantially when it was broadcast through the transmitters, but the sound straight off the tapes is excellent.

This and If He Walked Into My Life Today ( a grammy award winner ) are from the Don't Go To Strangers album. A brilliant, moving album . Eydie sings the the way Streisand used to sing before Streisand opted for Hollywood stardom and the mainstream....stream lining each note and losing the impact and meaning of the feelings behind the words of the song.

My parents played her albums all the time I grew up in the 50s and 60s. She and her husband Steve Lawrence were the young singing couple on the old "Tonight Show" with Steve Allen WAY before Johnny Carson.

Her best song is "I wanna be around (...to pick up the pieces)" Amy Winehouse was so similar to Miss Gorme. Too bad that Amy ended it all with alcohol poisoning. A great loss!
