@Darwin42ME If we're asking Muslims to drop their dogma, I hope we're asking them in a peaceful & kind way, instead of a cruel & violent way. The achievement will come a lot better that way. And hopefully drop the rude shouting- and especially violent attacking- by the fringe extremists of each side! A curse on both the fringe sides!

For anyone who wants to see the documentary: look on youtube for "Science and Islam: Part 1: The Language of Science". It's 3 parts.
If you are interested also in modern science, I highly recommend his series on the atom and the current view we have of the universe (ie that we most likely come from exploding stars). Search for "Atoms: Clash of the titans".
Or look for "Self Organization of Life - part 1 - pattern formation in nature" where he talks about structure emerging from simple systems.

it's true, we even use Arabic numerals today, Latin and Greek numerals were
very difficult and awkward to use. Both Arabic culture and ancient India contributed while Europe was in dark ages.

Allah is the Greatest and Mohammed is His Messenger.
@Berialavrenti The west was not the downfall of science and reason in the islamic world. Religion was, and still is. What the west wants is for muslims to drop their dogmatic beliefs and join the 21st century. Sadly though, here in America, a large portion of the public strives to be as scientifically illiterate as many muslims. What this shows is that ideologies are a global problem, not specific to a particular group or tribe.
