Unbelievable. You are doing amazing work. I am speechless. Very happy about your approach to doing everyday things (adding/editing content) and the more complicated things of information architecture. Yay!
I'm really looking forward to seeing more on second part of what you talked about it was so brief and new that I don't think I really get more than that it is a visual way to organize content and put structure into the menu. I think it'd be cool to have a clear indicator of the publish/unpublish state and a button to click to publish the unpublished content. I'm thinking tweetdeck's RT button style of interface. Hover over image and buttons appear to do stuff.
I've been concerned that with the improvement of usability, would come a decrease of flexibility. However, I see potential in being able to fully customize the Admin Header according to role in the same way one would customize a WYSIWYG content editor according to role. Also, I'm really glad to see you guys wanting to save the experience of administration as being integrated with the rest of the site. I'd suggest the ability to set it so that the dashboard never be used is important.
I can't wait for 7's release!!! keep up the great work.
