I would not call that a bad firing technique, I always thought if you have the safty valves blowing all the time that means your a good fireman! ;)

Thanks for the comment - the steam display was for the camera - not due to my poor firing technique - honest ;-)

A brilliant sound. Helped also by the near silent burner. Is this the same design used on your other engines?

Thanks - and yes it is, except that the body of the chuffer is 9/32" instead of 1/4" . You are right about the burner - it helps a lot.
