Nice! Reminds me of Taiji Tui Shou. It seems that the higher levels of Aikido and Taiji eventually merge into the same art.

If you were a real Tai Chi adept, you should know that mastery requires one to forget the style. You should forget it once you have achieved mystical understanding of a martial art, even of blended ones. How can one think two people have the exact same style? Everyone has to adjust the style to their mind and body. So we all have different aikido and taichi. And really, part of Tai Chi comes from Shaolin. Part of Aikido comes from Aiki JiuJitsu. Styles means nothing.

Stupid thinking there. Sun Style Tai Chi Chuan is a blend of Tai Chi Chuan, Bagua Zhang and Xing Yi Chuan. Bagua Styles are very different in essence as the original style have been blended with Shuai Jiao (cheng style), Luo Han Quan (Yin Style), Lui He Xinyi Quan (Xinyi Bagua style), etc etc...
You can be traditional, but saying blending style is not good is just plain crap. I see here the quintessence of Internal Arts. Aikido needs push hands, Tai Chi needs 1on1 practices.

@charkoly "The traditional MA are very conservative styles that are based solely on their principles, and limited techniques." American idiocy sometimes really baffles me. You've watched too many Kungfu movies western fanboy.

@TaijiTeddy shut up, aikido draws from all arts, him using elements of tai chi is is version of aikido

This all depends, however, on what your intention is for studying the martial art(s). If your priority is to learn how to become an effective fighter, then what I have said applies to you, but if your priority is on the principles behind the art, then by all means continue to study under that discipline. Like I said, you will be as effective as the MMA fighter, or the military combatant, but it will take years to achieve mastery. I hope you understand what I mean by this and don't take it wrong.
If you really know Sugawara sensei, you don't need to bring yourself into it. Please have some Respect for Sugawara Sensei! ;-)

Tetsutaka Sugawara sensei is amazing. To argue what you see is pointless, for me to list the various martial arts I've studied to argue about what you think you are seeing is also equally futile. Any one who has met Sugawara sensei on the mat felt his Ki and received his tutelage is blown away and will feel incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity.
