In 1984, ABC's One Life To Live hired me to play a role for several months, named Rupert Soames. I had already worked for them, staging fights and stunts for over 100 episodes. This video, of me fighting actor Robert ("Bob") Woods, was directed by Emmy Award winner Peter Minor. We shot after hours, with 4 cameras, and he generously gave me carte blanche to stage the fight. Bob Woods was great to work with, talented, physical, and safe. I utilized a few tricks in this fight, notably a real wrench (to destroy the phone on the wall), and a rubber double of it to hit Bob Woods on the head. Also note the balsa wood 2x4 hit to my head, which hurt!
oh for real? how much did they pay you?

pay me? well, AFTRA Union scale for the on camera work in the high 3 figures, and as stunt coordinator as well, in the much higher 3 figures, for a total of a nifty 4 figures for the day. And this was in the 80's when $ went further!
