C.H.A.M.P. & Terence Hallinan at Millenium Marijuana March

Cannabis Helping Alleviate Medical Problems (premier medical marijuana club from 1996-2002) and Terence Hallinan (District Attorney for San Francisco from 1995-2004) speak before the Millenium Medical Marijuana March, April, 2000 in Washington, DC.
After a CHAMP member gives a brief history of medical marijuana, Terence (probably the most compassionate DA ever in America) talks about the origins and spirit of Prop. 215, the "Compassionate Use Act", passed in 1996, that gave California's patients and doctors a legal framework to access medical Cannabis.
A CHAMP patient tells how Cannabis helped her survive breast cancer without losing weight.
Terrence then laments the policys set forth by Dan Lungren (then CA's Attorney General), that ignored the will of the voters.
Finally, another CHAMP patient challenges Americans to understand their plight and become active.

CHAMP closed its' doors in 2002, going underground to protect patients and caregivers in the face of federal raids on CA's medical marijuana clubs (the raids continue til this day).
