Waking up first, it would be tempting for her to incapacitate him (or worse) as he has lied to her, endangered her safety through stupid driving, and given the signs of being a stalker with dangerous intentions.

As bitchy as she is, he really comes across as a manipulative jerk taking the short cut. How many people have been conveniently disposed of on roads like this? What is his motivation for doing this? If it is completely innocent, than he is merely stupid for driving on an unplowed road in such conditions.
