it's about £3.50 for ten Lambert and butler (other brands are even more expensive) every where I go (i live in kirkby in liverpool don't know if it makes a difference, it's probably just the shops there).

a pack of cigarettes only costs 100 yen in indonesia. that is for foreign brands like marlboro, lucky strike, etc. while the local brands are usually cheaper, around 60-80 yen per pack XD

@japanarchist when I started to smoke i was 14 marb reds were about $1.90 a pack at gas stations or $10.00 a carton at reservations

10 bucks a pack in NY give or take a few dimes. at the reservations like 45 for a carton of marbs

like i said, i don't smoke so i have no clue what they cost now but i worked in a store that sold them 10 years ago and they were over $6 then. so still way cheaper in japan....
i heard that prices rarely go up over there. very minimal inflation. true?

@kmah88 A little over 12 years ago I also worked in a store that sold smokes. I remember "Canyon Reds" (the ultra discount cigarettes) sold for $1.08. Now that was cheap!! Of course it was probably more cardboard than tobacco, but...
