Some people are afflicted with a blindness where they just dont understand cause and effect. They cant predict or anticipate the impact they are having on the world, nor the effect it has on them.
Some can hit a golf ball well, but in a game where the ball moves they are lost. I use this analogy in the song and relate it to the emotional issue. In the same way they cant see the changing emotions in their partner or what part they have in it. As soon as the emotions are on the move, they are lost. Even more so, unfortunately the partner. In reality it is the partner who has the problem.
A Soul Comes Into View

This could be a good time
but he's just not gonna know
the difference, if it's really good or bad?

You're burning up in sunshine
or freezing in the snow,
he talks about the wife he should've had?

He doesn't see the ball bounce

or follow where it goes
and you miss out on all counts.
In your eyes it shows.

But in your eyes it shows.
This could be your lover.
You'll surely be confused.
You're bound to loose your way around your mind.
You suddenly discover
when your patience is abused,
still he drops the ball as if he's blind.

He doesn't see the ball bounce
or follow where it goes
and you miss out on all counts.
No one ever knows. But in your eyes it shows

One day sitting quiet,
not knowing where to start,
suddenly a soul comes into view.

At first you are frightened
of the arrow through your heart
and feelings that are rushing back to you.
You can feel your heart bounce
and how the passion flows
a woman now on all counts
and know one ever knows.
But in your eyes it shows.

Repeat 1 and Ref 3 end

  • ...Hauntingly mezmerizing. The saxophone is an electrifying touch; only outdone by a chorous of gorgeous electric guitar. Excellent choreograghics...

  • wow.....a psychologist musician....this song and the narrcistic disorder song was my life for over 5 yrs. I still love him. I walked away even as my heart was breaking to do so. I believed that he loved me....but it was more fear of losing me than love and keeping me safe. He never hit me.....but boy he really messed up my head.....do you have any songs to help heal....thanks for these songs, I stumbled upon. You must have a heart of gold.
