@1forlooker Wonderful comments. Elton has protected Leon as his health was fading. He revitalized him and revived him for the public again. And Elton claims to have found an inner strength to return to his better song writing in the process. Leon's voice is as perfect as ever... so world weary and moving. No one sings like Leon that quality of softness and harshness. He growls and roars and purrs like a cat, subtle and soothing, savage and sore. He can take us deeper into emotions than anyone!

I don't think many people knew that Leon played guitar, piano and horns. A true musician and composer. Just look at Mad Dogs and Englishmen for Leon. No one could have guessed that forty years into the future, the roles would be reversed: Elton leading with Leon as coplayer. Leon protected Elton just as Elton now protect Leon. Mysterious Ways!!!!
