  • Will always love NHRA drag racing, but as this clip shows it was much cooler and had a lot more character back in the day (when crews designed and made many of their parts rather buying them off corporate shelves).

  • rough idle on this car= set to kill !!!!!

  • I got to see "The Snake" for the first time in 1962 when he was driving the Greer-Black-Prudhomme car. I,too, lived at mostly Lions until the Army in 1969. Now I hang at Sacto and Famoso.

  • I saw "The Snake" for the first time, in 1964, when he was driving Roland Leong's first "Hawaiian" top fuel car. This happened to be @ Lions. I basically lived at SoCal drag strips from 1964 until I was drafted (Army) in 1969. Oddly though, my favorite guy & car was Don's big match race rival at that time, Tom "Mongoose" McEwen, who was driving Lou Baney's "Yeakel Plymouth Special" out of Downey, California. Great memories of a time now gone, but never forgotten.

  • when drag racing was cool!

  • MAN I GOT A BONER WATCHING THAT!

  • rough idle, must need a tune up.

  • hot wheels lead the way!!

  • saw the "snake" at new england dragway
