Going a step further.......in 1969 the 5020 standard test # 1025 put out 141.34 pto hp.Test # 1015 is a 4520 syncro range while test #1014 is a power shift that tested at 122.36hp.The 466 cid replaced the 404 cid starting in 1977 with the 4240-4840.The MF 1155 and the MMG1335 has got bigger engines then the 5020/6030/7520;s 531 cid.The 531 cid started out in the 5010 beginning in 1962.
According to me, I better like 4520 because the 5020 had a too big engine for HP power and it's always better a Turbocompressed aftercooled engine like 4620... more economical fuel and more powerful from the same engine!!
The 4520 had a 6404T engine with 123,4 HP on PTO (Nebraska test no: 1015 in 1969)
The 5020 had a 6513 engine with 133,2 HP on PTO (Nebraska test no:947 in 1966) The 6404 engine was become 6466 and after in 55's Series 6076 to finally became 6081 like 7000 or 8000's Series.
Like for the 6531 engine was the same thing 6531 followed of 6619 (like 8640) after the 6101.
Can you tell much power difference between them. I know the 5020 is rated at 141, but it does not come from the factory with a turbo charger. The 4520 has a turbo charger and it's easier to turn up the fuel to get more power fromt he 4520. So, is there much difference in power between the two?
