Modern Sounds Volume 1 and 2 are two of the most important pop albums made in the last 50 years. Ray damn near single-handedly changed it all.

I owned the "Friendship" album, then the cassette and now the CD. Still play and enjoy it. Ray did as much for country music as he did for the blues. His 1962 album, "Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music," brought country to a whole new mainstream audience.
