@LoisLWright - considering Catholics gave the world the Bible, that's a rather strong statement and indeed a rather sad relection on the dumbed down nature of modern society. Please tell me, where in the body of the Bible, is Bible itself mentioned and where can I find a reference to the Trinity?

@EmmanuelAnthony - you misunderstand what "Purgatory" is. IF nothing imperfect may enter Heaven and you don't believe in "Purgatory" - where are you going to go?

DANTE IS NOT THEOLOGY.
It is both a simple and complex issue -go to purgatory you should be in glee, fore you know you go to heaven. There also 2nd Maccabees. Purgatory is also a grace of Christ -prior to Christ those good & those gritty had no where to go.

This is False. Im sorry to be harsh but Mr. Lawrence D. Clark didn't reference ANYTHING in the Bible that relates to purgatory. For if there is a place called PURGATORY I would say we have a strong case to believe that my Lord and Saviour Died on the Cross in Vain. Since these to points do not coincide I am left to believe that when Jesus on the Cross said 'IT IS FINISHED' - John 19:30 he knew what he was talking about. Please let us get our Theology RIGHT! God bless

The New Testament is the oldest account of earliest Christian beliefs and practices - especially those who new and experienced Christ in human form. Is purgatory mentioned in the New Testament (agreed by both Catholics and Protestants)?

The Eastern Orthodox does not believe in Purgatory. This is simply a false claim. Please edit.

Greetings pastor Clark! I think your explanation was very good and you try to be neutral, not condemning as so many protestants..Pax et bonum!

Catholic's seem to think cerimonial things r what gets rid of sin I don't know any Catholics that are even serious i know people that say they r Catholic and dont realy believe in God it seems like it's all in the image and even cut other people down for not belonging to a church,im not cutting anybody down but ive been to Catholic churches and there r alot of judgemental people that think by obeying the law and paying taxes and fitting in is what lifes all about

Puragory does not exist. It is no where in the Bible. The Bible is like a Pizza, and it comes with its own toppings. Catholics like to pick off the toppings they don't like, and add their own. Catholics lie on God, and God hates them. Priests rape children.
