Inspired by YouTube's own Shai Sebbag's arrangement of Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel's "I still can't say goodbye", I have for quite some time wanted to try singing it together with lyrics.
Based on Shai Sebbag's instrumental notes, I am adding the vocals on top. Everyone should check out his stuff, he truly is a great musician.
As for the song, I still can' say goodbye, was first heard by me on Tommy Emmanuel's Endless Road album. I was also very fortunate to see him perform it while he was visiting Norway last year.
My own father passed away due to cancer when I was twelve. The song brings back a lot of memories of the time we shared together, bringing both a happy mood as well as a sad mood. I dedicate this performance also to my dear friend Samantha who was in hospital recently.
Also, please check out Chet Atkins' live performance of this song recorded in 1987.
Good job. Enjoyed it a lot ! :) LA Guy

I think this is an impressive interpretation(techniacally speaking) but the original Chet Atkins version is really incredible! Chet could incorporate almost untouchable ability with beautiful heartfelt delivery, lyrically! This guys phrasing takes a little of the sentiment away for me! It is such a beautiful song! please watch the live 1987 CHET ATKINS VERSION!

At the end of his life, the deadliest gunfighter of the Old West is given a choice: Hell or redemption. He chooses redemption and God's Archangel transports him to modern day Los Angeles to serve bloody, frontier justice on the worst dregs of society.
