i got some new effects!

(ehx big muff pi tone wicker and mxr micro-amp!)

this is a song i frankensteined together tonight in the studio from what i consider to be a handful of pretty nice riffs.

some day, it might be literature. today, it's a classified ad selling a used oldsmobile in a conservative midwestern american newspaper.

that is to say, i commit many atrocities on the guitar, here, only because i have no idea what i am doing, really. (biggest thing: rhythm needs to be nailed down so that we can see the transitions coming at least a half a mile away. the transitions are huge.)

this recording was done for therapeutic purposes. it was like ripping a band-aid off very quickly.

no god worth believing in would forgive one for apologizing for this sort of thing.

what you do is, you take these things and you show them the dumpster out back, then you send them to heaven.

  • very good song. vocals work real well here

  • hey, thanks!

i am personally proud of the mix level of the vocals and some of the melody parts. the main reason for recording this demo was so that i could have a point of reference for thinking about the vocals (and the words). i think i've mde some pretty good progress.

  • That's the power of bass -- oh boy, that's just hilarious. Actually I had to stop the video cause of laughing so hard. It's like a interference of listening to good music and the part in my brain where something said to it: "You have to laugh, that's hilarious". Uhm, yeah.

I'm going to Tokyo to buy your album (when it's realesed) the second the store opens. Hope the breakdance dude from the DQ IX Launch will be there, for my own amusement. Afterwards I'll listen to the music -- on the street.

  • i'm also getting your album, please tell us when its ready.

  • i am actually planning to make the liner notes a 35,000-word "companion novella", btw

  • I will buy your album when it is released for the liner notes alone. Your vivid and surreal metaphors make you the Salvador Dali of describing things.
