A storm front moved through Charlotte, NC dumping 3 inches of rain on average across the city causing isolated flooding in several areas. The flooding was focused in the Briar Creek Basin and its tributaries, resulting in evacuation of homes, a business, and motorists being rescued from their flooded vehicles. No injuries were reported as the Charlotte Fire Dept responded to nearly 100 weather related incidents.
