@metaldevil49 well its a friend of mines phone and she has only had it for a week so i figured they did something to it since it was a newer bought phone but it is still running 1.5 cause I checked it so I dont know y it isnt working but a friend of mine told me the OTR update is suppose to be going out today so I hope he is right...thanx for the help bro!!

i didn't mess anything up cause i didn't do anything to the phone...she should get her update just like everyone else...everyone doesn't get the update at the same time..it could be w week before she gets hers...oh and try not to be so rude it really makes u sound like an asshole..just a heads up bro

wow....you F'ed your shit up LMAO..... i just got my OTA update. this is why you dont f**K with you phone!.......I am now running the 2.1 software because I waited (not so patiently) for the update to come on it's own. I dont know about you but I dont have the money to put down for another phone is I F**K mine up trying to mess with it...

the update came out today for 2.1 on the eris. if i want to root it do i have to reinstall the 2.1 in order to root

@xXDJsTechTalkXx i heard that with this update they made the phone unhackable but i believe everything is hackable it just takes thoughs geeks to figure out how to do it...thank God for geeks

you go to recovery then hold home and end/power then you go on

@ray07035 thanx for the info but found out that the newer phones r unhackable well they r for now anyway cause nothing is unhackable...the 2.1 OTA update went out today anyway so just waitin on that...thanx again!!

@Frksho20 no what i used is the ota update its not rooting the phone its manually updating the phone

@ray07035 i thought the OTA update was suppose to come all by itself...so go to recovery and press home and the power button at the same time and it updates? thats weird
