I reached the part where iTunes is launched and it shows the appletv and the option to restore.

Nothing else happens, so I disconnected the usb cable and then connected to tv. I DO NOT see the FireCore symbol and when I try to connect via PUTTY I get

Network error: Connection refused

Any suggestion would be appreciated. BTW I did follow the troubleshooting guide at FIrecore also.
