I made this video for those who have trouble making it through the 1st boss of Seinarukana in Normal Mode.
All the enemies you face at the beginning are just a breeze. Then you have to face this powerhouse, Daraba, who is hard to beat without a good strategy.
What you need to do is as follow :
First of all your team : You need Nozomi, Nozomu and another character of your choice ( I chose Thalia because she got a decent attack, and can defend herself pretty well )
For Nozomi :
Defense : Devoted Block ( The one with M 700 )
Support : Breeze Relief ( Her skill boot )
For Nozomu :
Attack : Cross Divider ( M 580 )
Support : Celestial ( The first one )
For the other character, you don't need anything in particular.
Daraba Uhla's Skills :
Attacks : He begins with the Sword of lightning ( Sword slash ) Then comes the Sword of the Southern Sky Constellation ( Leap strike )
And finaly the Flashing Light Beam Sword ( Double strike )
Defense : First the Chill Barrier ( M 230 F 500 )
After 5 Turns he uses the Resolute Block ( M 300 )
Support : He counters your supports with Energy Leak who consumes 2 Mana
If he got 4 Mana, he launchs his Cruel Spike wich deals a lot of damage
If he got 5 Mana or more, he will instead use his Lightning Bolt skill boot wich you need to avoid triggering, if you don't want to see your units dropping like flies.
Strategy :
Nozomi can handle the defense pretty well with her Devoted Block, but still she will receive a lot of damage from the boss's double strike, so you need to heal her before she falls off.
Nozomu has two roles : First, and most importantly, he need to use his Celestial support everytime Daraba places his skill boot on the field. That way you can cancel it with Celestial's Anti-Vanish power. Secondly, use him to attack the boss when there is no Lightning Bolt in the field.
How to counter Daraba's Cruel Spike :
This needs some strategy action. The objective is to never let Daraba have 2 Mana points only stored in his support when he begins his turn. Turning it to 4 Mana with his 2+, therefore making him select the Cruel Spike.
To do this you need to get his rythm off. He gets 2 Mana each turn, and 1 Mana for each Sword of lightning attack.
I didn't used Nozomu as a support character at the begining for nothing. I forced Daraba to use Energy Leak to lose his 2 Mana points.
If he uses his Lightening Bolt Support after his Leap Strike, he WILL use his freaking Cruel Spike 2 turns afterward. So you need to make him lose Mana in the next 2 turns with Celestial or Breeze Relief like i did.
Hope it helped, Enjoy.
