Snow Up To The Wazoo (and beyond...)

Winter, 2008, too much snow, as of March 9 only one winter has seen more snow here. Total snowfall to date is beyond 400 cm.

If I measure the driveway's area, calculate the volume, and take 30% as the density of the snow compared to water, that makes the amount of snow shovelled off of the driveway this winter about the same mass as 12.4 large male African elephants.

We have no snowblower.

This estimate doesn't include the windrows left by plows and graders on the street.
