Where's all the people who got after Bush for mispronouncing the word "nuclear"? Bush's pronunciation was wrong technically, but was more of a "southern" pronunciation, which I've heard people say it the same way over many years. (watch Ernest Saves Xmas for one example in a movie) For such a so-called "smart" guys, Obama is pathetic not being able to pronounce "corpsman" Very sad. It really shows how much he knows about the military; and he's commander in chief as well, how messed up is that?

@USN276 I joined the Navy Reserve in '73 so not to be drafted in the Army. I did 2 yrs active as a HM and 1 yr. reserve. I wanted to go regular Navy but was told they didn't need me as a Corpsman anymore because Nam was done. The offered me one lousy ship as a non rate and that was it. In so many words I told them they could shove it. considering my options I elected to jump ship so to speak and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. I spent the next 18 yrs. in the Coast Guard retiring '94 as a SK

I'm impressed that the guys behind them didn't have any reaction. I would have at least winced when I heard it. In other news, if Bush stumbled over one word the news was all over it, but Obama pulls something like this and nobody says anything. That's a big double standard if you ask me.
