  • Why though? They should only turn on the lights when they have a sick person they need to rush to the hospital.

  • No they don't It was a special campaign for that time only.

  • "Always ready" that's their motto! My dad was one.

  • I have been in Taipei and Taichung (friend lives here) and yes emergency vehicles drive around with their lights on. Not their sirens. If you listen there is no siren on in that video. If you hear a siren then they are responding to an emergency.

  • they do this to show presence

    which is why during a legit emergency, people seldom give way because they think they just on the light and siren again for no reason

  • Sometime they need to drive their car around the city without any sick person.It looks like the police must drive their car and turn on the light.

  • the light is on when they are patrolling the street.
