British Pipe Band Championships 2008, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, 28th June 2008.

Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl Pipe Band playing their MSR - P/M Thomas MacAllister, The Ewe Wi' the Crooked Horn and Mrs MacPherson of Inveran. Unfortunately, the band was disqualified as the band did not play the MSR that they submitted due to a clerical error.

  • Cheers Paul - I think this confusion is part of the reason they got DQ'd...!

  • Spoke to one of the Vale guys on the day. There was a clerical error. They played the "correct set" but the reels were submitted to the RSPBA in the wrong sets, so the program was wrong, not the band. P/M Thomas MacAllister and The Links of Forth are the same tune, Tom Mac just has 2 extra parts. The Reel they play here is Mrs MacPherson of Inveran and not Pretty Marrion as stated in the program. I'll bet thier secretary's not a popular person!!!!!

  • QM..Check the Strat..it's the "Eweie not Dora".
