In 1951 Gisele left her comforable Canadian homeland and reputation as their First Lady of Song and expanded her entertainment possibilities by replacing The Andrews Sisters on radio's popular Club 15. While on this show, legendary tenor, Mario Lanza, heard the young gifted singer, and invited her to also co-star on his Coke Time radio show. In this clip from an early live television show, Gisele pays tribute to her then 'boss' by sing Lanza's hit recording, Because You're Mine. Gisele signed with Capitol records and guest starred on many popular radio and television shows, before being 'discovered' by Jack Benny, who featured her often on his radio and television shows, and helped her land a job on television's legendary Your Hit Parade, where she sang for four years, earned the title of Television Favorite, and moved on to her own NBC-TV show, night clubs, more recordings, a few films, and concerts, night clubs and theaters.
