Crane Beach Striped bass fishing top water 7/6/09 one extra day at the beach with the sand eels!

Crane Beach fishing for striped bass as they move in on the newly arrived sand eels. There are not a lot of fish and there are not a ton of sand eels but its the first time in 2 weeks that they have been back! Small bait balls are moving in and it should turn in a stream by next week? As the water clears and the bait packs in the bigger fish 25-30 inches) fish should start showing? Its happened the last 10 years so why not this year?

Though it's designed as a salmon pole, it is perfect for small strippers & blues in the spring and mid summer.

can you just hook a sand ell thrue the mouth and throw them out there? or is that just a waste of time...
