i am a k-9 security guard in the netherlands and i would love it if i was able to carry the mossberg x-12 with XREP during my shift, in my country i am not allowed to carry a firearm, the best protection i have against any bad guys is my dog... the dog is very usefull in a lot of situations but the XREP system would be a verry good first option to use instead of using my dog with the risc that the dog gets injured.

It would have been nice if he would have given examples of justifiable causes for using a device of this design at 75+ feet. As I was watching it seemed like a more humane method of animal control; however, the rep demonstrated how the payload was designed specifically to prey on human instinct. Considering the target would have at least 10 sec or more to dodge from blast to impact, it would be ineffective on alert targets. More practical uses might be crowd control, mugging and kidnap imo.

You have to understand, Germany damn near took over the world twice. They were prevented by the U.S. and their allies from being able to arm themselves after WWII until fairly recently. That is why we still have large airbases etc. there. The same with Japan.
