How is it a "shoot out" when there was one gun shot? And nobody hit. Ya'll New Yorkers don't know what a real shootout is... go to Philly or Detroit or Chicago. Harlem is safe

While I agree with you that Harlem is relatively safe compared to other neighborhoods around the country, there's something more going on here. Several people were shot that day and there were reports of folks shooting rounds into the air for kicks. There is a serious problem with gun violence and gun culture. Perhaps you're right that this technically is not a shoot out but I think it's fair to take liberty with the video title to convey the sense of the environment not shown in the video.

Yeah where there's guns there are crimes, except New York is not exactly a city flooded with guns like the other cities you pointed out. Gun crime in New York is the lowest out of all the big cities. Don't blow shit up when it's not really popping off like that here in NYC. And what is a real shootout? You get involved in one or witness one and you'll know the difference between one and random people shooting in the air.

The african american day parade is September every year in harlem and is known as an infamous night. The parade in the morning generally goes without incident but the aftermath afterwards is generally bad. 2007 was bad and here in 2008 was also bad. Multiple shootings and a lot of gun collars. Sad and its every year because gang initiations are done on this night. This parade really needs to loose its license and end.

Actually I have been living in New York City for the past 4 years. New York is VASTLY different from Philadelphia. Some part of Brooklyn are rough, my cousin lives in Brownsville. But NYC does not compare to Philadelphia as far as gun violence and murder is concerned.

@CyrussNP Have u been to NYC!? I grow up in South Brooklyn (Brighton Beach) and I've been to Philly, and Chicago anit that much of a difference. Maybe take you for a stroll through Bronx or Queens, then we'll see what u think about NYC. Even now where I live "Murderapolis" (South Minneapolis) there's been four murders in my neighborhood alone in the last couple of months. Same shit different hood!
