WWW.KINDBEATSDRUMS.COM Here's a video I just found on my computer from last year. The reason this particular video is so poorly lit is because I was trying to create a relaxing ambiance in my drum room for this particular session. THE POINT OF THIS VIDEO IS TO DEMONSTRATE THAT WE AS MUSICIANS SHOULD NOT ALWAYS FOCUS ON TRYING TO FIT AS MANY NOTES INTO A MEASURE, BUT WE SHOULD INSTEAD STRIVE TO TRULY SAY SOMETHING WHEN WE PLAY OUR INSTRUMENT. #RepKindBeats

  • That mallets is a BT8(bamboo timpani Mallet with maplewood head) from innovativepercussion ???

  • @phantom4music I think they were Vic Firth mallets but I'm not one hundred percent sure.

  • It is like you are singing channeled through by playing drums, I feel yah..

  • @efraimmahinay Thank you so much!

  • @DzagielAreq Not at all. Danny Carey was a huge influence on me growing up and I have nothing against his style, nor anyone else's. Hell, I've played in extreme metal situations as well. Unfortunately, many people these days are only aware of what they see and they usually only see what is popular. I simply want to let drummers (and all musicians) know that there is always more than one way of playing and approaching the instrument. I have love for all! #RepKindBeats

  • Really nice playing indeed, that's the kind of drumming we don't see enough of today...awesome technique used on the ride cymbal to bend the pitch =)

  • Very nice, man! I really dig the melodic approach. Sincerely, Hips-kind-beats ;-)

  • Nice performance!!! don't worry about the light :)

  • Beautiful in it's simplicity. Thank you for sharing.

  • very lyrical! So many drummers these days play with the dynamic range of a 747... a pleasure to HEAR what is being expressed!

  • Yeh great hypnotic , after all we are the rythmatists

  • cool merci

  • I have always loved the beauty of simplicity. As drummer, we should always seek to create mood, musical texture, and most of all, FEEL. Good job.
