Did you know that this guy Pletnev is a pedophile? He molested a lot of young boys in Thailand.

The Problem with Pletnev is, after watching any of his interpretation he ruines it for any other pianist that I would hear with the same work. Compared to him they all sound so dull, spiritless and student-like.

Pletnev just might be the greatest Tchaikovsky winner in history. His touch is so unique and effortless, in addition to his intellectual understanding of Tchaikovsky's music.

the reason it isn't played is because it is so hard to play under the hand, due to the fact Tchaikovsky was not a pianist.

Also I am new to youtube and do not understand why so many keep the sound so low-- some cannot be heard unless one is right on top of the computer !?!

i agree this 2nd concerto is much better than the 1st of tchaikovsky - although many people would not agree - but i never understand its neglect!
there is a video on here of cherkassky playing it and i think he is better than pletnev though.
