@tattat44 believe me, im on your side of the debate, im looking at the idea of if this bb/pellet gun is a replica, why should airsoft be treated the way it is, and not the same as the bb gun or, be classed the same way law does not make sense, the only move that is helping somewhat is the introduction of the "uncontrolled firearm" gun that shoots whithin certain parameters is legal but even that not help unless your gun is a BA rifle as you have said most aegs are not made with such high fps

Because there is a legitimate hobby attached to one, and the other is just... Kinda a novelty thing to shoot tin cans with.

Of course, Full Disclosure, I play Airsoft and therefore have a bias towards not wanting it to dissapear completely or go underground.

Why outlaw airsoft? BB guns can actually do some damage,

Pellet guns shoot .177 metal coated bbs at over 1000fps.

Airsoft don't usually top 400 fps.
