@SuperViolane for Christ's sake,quit whining. I have been through abuse too and I'm not on here whining about it;I'm just here listening to the song.

@Vampirewolf7lover ok...

@devilsgrin6 believe me ive come to terms with my abuse, ive ruined most of the guys lives already, 2 had wives and 5 had kids. I just hope they actually remember why they are sorry. Anyways back to the song, cracking tune :)

@SuperViolane Abuse is very traumatizing, especially if it happens in your younger years when you're developing as a child, an adolescent, or early adult when you don't have the means yet to understand or cope. If you were a product of that or even in adulthood, it's not your fault, it is the person's fault that did the abuse. They usually have some disorder or lack of self-esteem themselves.
-
@devilsgrin6 I understand it a lot more now you explained it to me, I never read lyrics or care much for them, i love the music foremost. But coming from personal experience, being a victim of many types of abuse i can tell you that you mostly spend the rest of your life trying to find why it was your fault, when it never was in the first place. You never truly get an answer.

@SuperViolane Plus, the lines: sleeping with the enemy, my better half has bitten me. Your biggest idol is yourself. Your enemy is really yourself. Sometimes highly creative people become really introverted & can't get rid of themselves, so art is their expression/release of "self" that gets so big.

@SuperViolane I thought it was a song about loving yourself? It always sounded like a song about a girl who didn't love herself, but because of that got caught in a vicious cycle of beating the shit out of herself. Along with that, I thought she was in an abusive relationship from a guy that added to it. Pieces of Jennifer's Body reminded me of a girl ripping herself to shreds because of lack of self-worth, going deeper inside herself, but self-destructing.
