  • We buy nutrients in bulk for our clients, so they are very affordable..... You have to keep in mind we don't use drippers or sprayers, so we have never had a problem with salt build up in over 3 years. Electricity quotes are around $.03-$.05 a day to run the pump..... we grow outdoors and don't use timers.... just a single pump.

  • Nice setup, the biggest problem with hydroponics, is the price of nutrients. If your "not a commercial grower," and go to the hydro shop, you pay through the nose, who wants a 5$ head lettuce?. Powdered nutrients are not always cheaper and don't work as well. They don't always completely dissolve, wreak your dosing pumps or clog up your emitters. You also have to include the price of electricity not everyone can grow outdoors. Most "Herbal growers", could care less about price.
