@Malicious2094 Opaque watercolors have not been respected as their own discipline as long as oil painting, however the method has been around for a long time. Thats just my understanding though ;-)

@ichbindarren really? I thought designer's gouache was a relatively new medium. As far as I know, oil is the most common medium used during the old master's times.

I have always wanted to try this because lot of the old masters used gouache. I really like the subject matter of this picture too. Great job mate.
