With regards to our own work, like many we are discovering this new world of branded entertainment as it continues to evolve and will probably have as many failures as successes...if we're lucky. Now with our second show just launched for another major CPG, and audiences that are growing quickly, we;re feeling good about where we are, and better about where we're going. Hoping my comments didn't offend or rub you the wrong way. That was not the intention.
@klaatu42 And a suggestion well taken. I'm a lover, not a fighter. (LOL)
My comment was posted during a time that I was in the midst of an issue or connecting with the online audience and the different approaches taken by different organizations. There is no question that this is well produced and will find an audience.
@FreshBakedEnt Not to be too critical of your own work (that's not my M.O.), but you should take some time to work on your own offering's effectiveness before publicly criticizing that of others (especially if you are suffering from the same issue with your own work, with even less results than this video has received). No hard feelings, just a constructive suggestion.
Oh come on now - all the shots are medium/tight, so you can't see if the house is spotless or a bit "lived in". This is less than a minute, a quick video so that's not intrusive on people's time. I celebrate his handsome face, well sculpted body, nice smile, and obvious love for his daughter and wife. If you were once in love with Prince Charming, or not-so-perfectly-charming, you can "remember the days" when he looked so good! The little girl's acting and voice is precious! Bravo, Arbonne!
This is really well produced, but misses the mark a bit for web content in my opinion. Reason? It's completely lacking in authenticity. A prefect male model husband in a snug T-shirt with multiple shots of his sculpted body, a perfectly clean home even though they have at least one young child, and a beautiful model wife. Best way to connect to an audience online is through authenticity. Still tell the same story but do it with real people that your viewers and buyers can relate to.
@FreshBakedEnt Thanks for the response. Indeed, all one can do is try, learn, repeat.
