Actually, ZUN told Maikaze don't actively advertise it, restrict distributions, and stuff like that.

ZUN has been grossly mis-quoted about his thoughts on the MAIKAZE doujin anime adaptation...

Would you really want this to be the "official" ? the quality control is horrible... some characters have 6 fingers :/

and the overall animation style is just horrible

Let's hope one day they make this anime official. But I'm guessing Zun has their reasons to keep things all hush-hush.
