  • En casi toda Arte Marcial tradicional prima la respiración, a fin de controlar desde el movimiento, hasta el tiempo sobre el cual se actua. Si bien no es profesor de mi estilo, este maestro fue una leyenda viviente sobre su arte. Miren bien, aprendan!!

  • @JoanMcqueen nO CREO QUE HAGAS NINGUN ARTE MARCIAL PARA DAR ESA OPINION PORQUE NI SIQUIERA SABES QUIEN ES FUE PARA EL KARATE AMERICANO Y EL MUNDO. NO CREO QUE HAGAS NINGUN ARTE MARCIAL PORQUE TODOS PRACTICAMOS EL RESPRO POR LOS DEMAS

  • I thinks he`s saying that foul breath can stop an aggression.

  • My sensei was one of the lucky who trained with Sensei Nishiyama when he came here. He said that it took a long time before he learned how to speak Nishiyama.

Now I know what he was talking about. The guy is almost impossible to understand.

  • He is saying that the breath is the response. It means that breathing literally carries the technique rather than breathing and doing the technique. The drill is sen-no-sen, or responding at the very moment the opponent starts moving. The sign of attack is almost nonexistent and is perceived rather than seen. Nishiyama sensei died 11/7/08.

  • I think it means that... while opponent non-intendedly shows the sign of his attack, the shout before the sen-defend should be builded from proper figure/shape (i think also to save pressure)

    Nishiyama has perfect technic-exhalation.

  • I don't understand what he was trying to get across. Please explain.
